NATO ADVANCED RESEARCH WORKSHOP (ARW)
on
Strong-Motion Instrumentation for Civil Engineering Structures

   June 2-5, 1999         Istanbul, Turkey


A NATO Advanced Research Workshop  (ARW) on Strong-Motion Instrumentation for Civil Engineering Structures is being organized with USGS participation. The Workshop will be held on June 2-5, 1999, in Istanbul, Turkey.

The ARW will critically assess the existing knowledge on the strong-motion instrumentation of civil engineering structures and identify directions for future implementation and research. The program of the Workshop will include invited and contributed papers. Contributed papers are invited on the topics falling  within the scope of the conference. Participants are encouraged to contribute papers describing purpose, scheme and outcome of instrumented structures in their countries.
